Sales Operations BI & Reporting Manager
Bengaluru, IndiaJob Summary
The Sales Ops Program Manager is a hands-on analytics and automation professional who supports sales operations through accurate reporting, efficient workflows, and actionable business insights. The role combines strong execution skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and automation with disciplined program management, clear communication, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
This individual will translate business requirements into practical reporting and automation solutions, coordinate delivery milestones, validate data and outputs, document processes, and support stakeholder adoption. The position works with Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, Data Engineering, Product, and Marketing partners, with guidance on the most complex or strategic programs.
This role is primarily an independent contributor and delivery owner for defined analytics, reporting, and automation initiatives. The role may coordinate contributors and guide users, but does not require enterprise portfolio ownership, regular VP-level advisory leadership, or formal people-management responsibility. Complex architectural, strategic, or cross-enterprise decisions are escalated to senior program or functional leaders.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements, reporting needs, process pain points, success measures, and acceptance criteria in partnership with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based analytical tools using advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data validation, and structured templates; use VBA or Office Scripts where appropriate.
- Identify repetitive sales operations tasks and build practical automations that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and strengthen controls.
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using well-structured data models, DAX measures, Power Query, drill-through, filters, and user-friendly visual design.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, transform, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Support end-to-end delivery activities including intake, scope clarification, work planning, dependency tracking, testing, UAT coordination, release readiness, documentation, and stakeholder updates.
- Perform data quality checks, root-cause analysis, and reconciliation across source systems, SQL outputs, Excel models, and Power BI reports.
- Partner with data engineering and IT teams to clarify source-system logic, resolve defects, improve refresh reliability, and maintain appropriate access controls.
- Create clear process documentation, metric definitions, user guides, test evidence, and release notes to ensure repeatability and operational continuity.
- Communicate insights, delivery status, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to both business and technical audiences.
- Facilitate working sessions, requirements reviews, demos, and UAT discussions; incorporate feedback and build stakeholder confidence in the solution.
- Support dashboard and automation adoption through training, office hours, responsive issue management, and continuous improvement.
- Apply AI-assisted productivity capabilities responsibly for documentation, analysis, quality checks, and workflow acceleration where approved.
Experience & Education
- 5+ years of relevant experience in sales operations, business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, automation, revenue operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing business solutions with Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Strong Excel capability, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data cleansing, reconciliation, and repeatable reporting templates; VBA or Office Scripts experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including data transformation, data modeling, DAX, dashboard design, publishing, refresh management, and basic security concepts.
- Solid SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, subqueries or CTEs, data validation, and query troubleshooting.
- Experience automating recurring reporting or operational workflows using tools such as Power Automate, Excel automation, scripting, or comparable platforms.
- Experience supporting project or program delivery with multiple stakeholders, defined milestones, dependencies, and quality expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data, technical logic, issues, and recommendations in clear business language.
- Proven collaboration skills across business and technical teams, including the ability to build relationships, manage feedback, and follow through on commitments.
- High attention to detail, structured problem-solving capability, and a strong ownership mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM data, sales pipeline, forecasting, bookings, territory, quota, incentives, or marketplace transaction data.
- Exposure to Snowflake or another cloud data platform.
- Understanding of semantic models, dataflows, data governance, documentation standards, and reporting access controls.
- Experience creating dashboards for sales representatives, managers, and leadership audiences.
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and work-management tools.

NetApp does not carry out any solely automated decision making (i.e. the process of making a decision by automated means without any human involvement) in determining your suitability or eligibility for specific roles.
However, the processing of your personal information is carried out with the aid of manual and automated tools. In particular, NetApp may use an automated employment evaluation tool or similar tool as one of several tools, actions, and/or steps to assist with NetApp’s review of candidate applications for various hiring needs.
Currently, when addressing certain hiring needs, NetApp uses the following tools:
- Eightfold (eightfold.ai): This tool can provide an initial ranking of a candidate’s skills and experience, based on information provided by the applicant in the application and/or supporting documentation, in comparison to the NetApp designated key requirements of a specific role. Additionally, the tool may be used to help review and/or rank internal employees seeking promotion or other internal mobility. An independent audit of the Eightfold Matching Model tool can be found at https://eightfold.ai/nyc-eightfoldmatching-model.
- Findem (findem.ai): This tool is used to help identify candidates whose skills and experience may be relevant to open roles at NetApp, using publicly available professional information. Findem may also be used to assist with candidate matching, AI-assisted screening, and recruitment communications.
Our talent acquisition team or our recruiters will ultimately select the candidates for further consideration, following human review of any automated evaluation results and associated underlying documentation (or lack thereof) submitted with the candidates’ application.
Candidates may request an alternative selection process which will not be subject to the Eightfold matching tool or to any electronic automated employment evaluation by contacting NetApp at careers@netapp.com. To bypass the Eightfold matching tool or any electronic automated employment evaluation, you must include a resume and job ID with your email to careers@netapp.com and you must include in the subject line of your email: Data Privacy Request. Candidates who have questions or want to request additional information on the source of data, type of data, and/or collection of data related to the candidate review process should contact NetApp at careers@netapp.com
