Job Summary
NetApp provides data management solutions through public cloud hyperscalers. Our growing public cloud services team is looking for a talented technical professional who is passionate about making an impact on our company’s success with Amazon Web Services FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN). FSxN is a first-party service, owned, managed, and supported by AWS.
This pre-sales engineering position will focus on identifying and understanding candidate workloads, architecting appropriate solutions, conducting demonstrations, designing and running proof-of-concepts, and onboarding customers into active consumption. Much of the customer engagement will be done in cooperation with AWS, where we provide the technical expertise of NetApp ONTAP offered natively by AWS. The role includes an evangelism component, requiring someone eager to promote our technology’s innovative capabilities within AWS, NetApp, and our potential customer base across Brazil and Latin America.
Required Qualifications
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and verbal)
• Minimum of five years of industry experience
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS certification beneficial)
• Experience with container orchestration and runtime concepts
• Proven track record of running proof-of-concepts for software, hardware, and cloud solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
• Willingness to travel within Brazil and occasionally to other Latin American countries
Desired Qualifications
• Spanish language proficiency
• Experience with enterprise storage and data management solutions
• Prior experience with NetApp ONTAP or similar storage technologies
• AWS certifications
• Experience with VMware environments
• Background in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture
Key Responsibilities
• Qualify customer needs and fit for NetApp solutions in AWS
• Design and present technical solutions including software, cloud subscriptions, and professional services
• Conduct technical workshops and proof-of-concepts
• Present at customer and partner executive briefings
• Enable the AWS architect community on NetApp solution value
• Participate in industry meetups and user groups
• Create and publish reference architectures and success stories
• Maintain technical expertise through continuous learning
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team initiatives
