Senior Business Analyst
MexicoJob Summary
As a Senior Data Analyst supporting the Global Order Fulfillment team, you will transform complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights that improve execution, forecasting, and decision-making. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on data analysis skills in Excel and Power BI with experience in financial reporting, quarter-end forecasting, practical AI enablement, and disciplined project execution. You will partner across Order Fulfillment, Finance, Sales Operations, IT, and other functions to simplify reporting, improve data quality, develop scalable solutions, and accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve recurring Global Order Fulfillment reporting, KPI analysis, and performance visibility.
- Support quarterly, annual, and quarter-end revenue forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting, including variance analysis, trend identification, and clear communication of risks and opportunities.
- Partner with Finance and operational stakeholders to validate assumptions, reconcile data sources, and improve forecast accuracy and reporting consistency.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance KPIs that measure backlog health, shipment execution, lead time, revenue attainment, and other fulfillment outcomes.
- Use advanced Excel and Power BI to analyze complex datasets, develop repeatable reporting solutions, and deliver decision-ready insights. The role requires strong hands-on Power BI proficiency, including data preparation, modeling, DAX, and report enhancement, but does not primarily own enterprise platform administration or highly complex dashboard engineering.
- Gather business requirements, identify and validate data sources, map data flows, write queries, assess data quality, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Support AI-enabled analytics and workflow initiatives, including preparing and curating knowledge sources, configuring and grounding agents, developing reusable skills and prompts, testing and evaluating outputs, documenting use cases, and continuously improving solution accuracy and reliability.
- Contribute to projects involving AI agents and analytics platforms; experience with Abacus, Microsoft Copilot, or a comparable enterprise AI or agent platform is a plus.
- Lead or support small-to-medium analytics and process-improvement projects by defining scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and status updates.
- Analyze complex or insufficiently documented current-state processes and design standardized, scalable future-state processes and data solutions.
- Establish and maintain reporting documentation, business definitions, data lineage, validation controls, and quality standards to improve consistency and trust in analytical outputs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring reporting, reconciliation, validation, and workflow activities using Excel, Power BI, SQL, AI, or other approved enterprise tools.
- Perform delivery lead-time analysis and provide ad hoc data support for Order Fulfillment requirements.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through concise executive summaries, recommendations, and decision points.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 8 years of relevant experience as a data analyst, business analyst, financial analyst, business intelligence analyst, analytics engineer, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience manipulating and reconciling complex raw datasets using advanced Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, advanced formulas, data models, and structured quality checks; VBA experience is beneficial.
- Practical proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including data preparation, modeling, DAX calculations, visualization, and the creation or enhancement of user-focused reports.
- Experience supporting financial or operational reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, reconciliation, and quarter-end or period-end business processes.
- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to query, combine, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI, copilots, AI agents, or similar tools to develop business use cases, create reusable prompts or skills, evaluate outputs, and document solutions.
- Project execution capability, including requirements definition, work planning, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder coordination, and clear status communication.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, scalable processes, and practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, solve problems, learn independently, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring, grounding, testing, or governing enterprise AI agents using Abacus, Microsoft Copilot, or a comparable platform.
- Experience supporting supply chain, order fulfillment, revenue operations, sales operations, or finance in a hardware, software, or high-technology environment.
- Understanding of quoting, sales order, backlog, shipment, revenue recognition, and forecasting processes.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP, particularly Order Management, and familiarity with enterprise data warehouse concepts and BI and analytics tools such as OBIEE, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Experience improving or automating recurring financial and operational reporting processes.
- Formal project management training, certification, or demonstrated experience leading cross-functional analytics and process-improvement initiatives.
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certification in Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.

Successfull Profile
- Balances analytical depth with strong business judgment and financial acumen.
- Uses Excel and Power BI as practical analysis tools while selecting the simplest scalable solution for the business need.
- Moves from raw data and ambiguous requirements to a clear recommendation, repeatable process, and concise leadership update.
- Applies curiosity and sound judgment to convert business knowledge into reliable, well-tested AI capabilities.
- Brings sufficient project discipline to keep cross-functional work aligned, visible, and moving forward.

Data privacy
We care about your privacy and, therefore, ask that you read our Candidate Privacy Notice before you submit any personal information to us.
NetApp does not carry out any solely automated decision making (i.e. the process of making a decision by automated means without any human involvement) in determining your suitability or eligibility for specific roles.
However, the processing of your personal information is carried out with the aid of manual and automated tools. In particular, NetApp may use an automated employment evaluation tool or similar tool as one of several tools, actions, and/or steps to assist with NetApp’s review of candidate applications for various hiring needs.
Currently, when addressing certain hiring needs, NetApp uses the following tools:
- Eightfold (eightfold.ai): This tool can provide an initial ranking of a candidate’s skills and experience, based on information provided by the applicant in the application and/or supporting documentation, in comparison to the NetApp designated key requirements of a specific role. Additionally, the tool may be used to help review and/or rank internal employees seeking promotion or other internal mobility. An independent audit of the Eightfold Matching Model tool can be found at https://eightfold.ai/nyc-eightfoldmatching-model.
- Findem (findem.ai): This tool is used to help identify candidates whose skills and experience may be relevant to open roles at NetApp, using publicly available professional information. Findem may also be used to assist with candidate matching, AI-assisted screening, and recruitment communications.
Our talent acquisition team or our recruiters will ultimately select the candidates for further consideration, following human review of any automated evaluation results and associated underlying documentation (or lack thereof) submitted with the candidates’ application.
Candidates may request an alternative selection process which will not be subject to the Eightfold matching tool or to any electronic automated employment evaluation by contacting NetApp at careers@netapp.com. To bypass the Eightfold matching tool or any electronic automated employment evaluation, you must include a resume and job ID with your email to careers@netapp.com and you must include in the subject line of your email: Data Privacy Request. Candidates who have questions or want to request additional information on the source of data, type of data, and/or collection of data related to the candidate review process should contact NetApp at careers@netapp.com
Note: Eightfold is not applicable to temporary hiring opportunities. If you are interested in temporary roles, you can apply via a third-party site managed by our preferred supplier, Magnit Global. Magnit Global will provide its own privacy disclosures for your review as part of the application process.
