Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Product Manager who uniquely combines deep application security expertise with exceptional customer empathy to build secure, compliant, and delightful product experiences. This execution-focused role requires balancing stringent security standards (including GDPR and DORA compliance) with world-class customer journeys—ensuring security enhances rather than hinders the user experience.
Job Responsibilities
Customer-Centric Security & Product Execution
• Execute on priorities of one or more agile squads, balancing security requirements with exceptional user experiences
• Champion a "secure by design, delightful by default" approach to product development
• Ensure alignment of security, compliance, and customer experience priorities with corporate and business objectives
• Partner with peer product managers across teams to align on security initiatives while maintaining customer-first principles
Security & Compliance Leadership
• Implement and communicate application security concepts in user-friendly, accessible ways
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, DORA, and other regulatory frameworks without compromising user experience
• Design secure data management practices, particularly for handling US-regulated data
• Translate complex security and compliance requirements into intuitive product features and user stories
• Partner with security, legal, compliance, and UX teams to create seamless, secure customer journeys
Customer Journey & User Empathy
• Deeply understand customer/user journeys through direct user interaction, research, and stakeholder collaboration
• Advocate for users while implementing necessary security controls—finding the optimal balance
• Identify friction points in secure workflows and innovate solutions that maintain both security and usability
• Develop metrics that measure both security posture and customer satisfaction/experience
Agile Squad Collaboration
• Partner with scrum masters, engineering managers, and squad members to plan and execute balanced priorities
• Write detailed user stories that incorporate both security requirements and user needs
• Develop, groom, maintain, and prioritize backlogs considering security, compliance, and customer value
• Foster a squad culture that values both security rigor and customer empathy
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Communicate security requirements to technical teams and user needs to security stakeholders
• Bridge the gap between compliance obligations and business/customer outcomes
• Work independently and across diverse teams to deliver secure, user-friendly product capabilities
• Partner with engineering leaders to build squads with both security expertise and customer-focused
Job Requirements
• 9-12 years of relevant experience with 6+ years as a Product Manager
• US Citizenship required (for handling US-regulated data)
• Proven expertise in implementing and communicating application security concepts
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR and DORA regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrated experience balancing security requirements with user experience and customer satisfaction
• Track record of understanding and optimizing customer/user journeys in secure environments
• Experience with secure data management practices and data governance
• Hands-on experience writing requirements, user stories, and managing product backlogs in Jira
• Agile environment experience with proficiency in Jira & Confluence
• Demonstrable success delivering secure product capabilities that users love
Highly Desired Qualifications
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing for security features
• Background in privacy-by-design, security-by-design, and user-centered design principles
• Experience with security frameworks and customer data protection
• Track record of reducing security friction while maintaining compliance standards
• Experience with customer feedback loops, NPS, and satisfaction metrics in secure products
Key Skills
• Exceptional communication skills - ability to explain security concepts to non-technical audiences and user needs to security teams
• Strong analytical skills with both security-focused and customer-focused problem-solving abilities
• Empathy and user advocacy - genuine passion for understanding and improving customer experiences

• Stakeholder management - building consensus across security, engineering, design, and business teams
• Deep understanding of secure SDLC practices and user-centered design methodologies

Education
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 154,700 - 231,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
